WHAT YOU NEED:
✔ Mason Jar (Standard or Small)
✔ Halloween Socks - 1 Pair makes 4 koozies (Mens fits standard Mason Jars and Ladies fits small Mason Jars. Socks pictured are from the Target Dollar Spot)
✔ Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks (not pictured)
✔ Scissors

STEP 1

(using a Mens socks for a standard Mason Jar)

Step_01.jpg

Place your Mason Jar inside one of the socks. Pull the sock up until it is able to grip onto the first groove at the mouth of the Mason Jar. Then use your scissors to cut about 1 1/2 inches beneath the bottom of your Mason Jar.

STEP 2

(using a Mens socks for a standard Mason Jar)

Make 4 cuts in the remaining fabric from the edge to the bottom of the Mason Jar (reference white dotted lines). You should be left with 4 box-like flaps.

STEP 3

(using a Mens socks for a standard Mason Jar)

Step_03.jpg

Fold the first flap inward so that it rests on the Mason Jar (You don’t want to glue the fabric to the Mason Jar). Use your hot glue gun to attach the opposing flap on top of the first one you folded down. Add glue to the 2nd flap, securing the 3rd flap down on top of it. Finally place glue on the 4th flap, securing it down last.

STEP 4

(using a Mens socks for a standard Mason Jar)

Step_04.jpg

Cut the heel off of the remaining half of your sock so that you’re left with an even tube. Place another Mason Jar inside of it, pulling it up so that it fits securely against the bottom.

STEP 5

(using a Mens socks for a standard Mason Jar)

Step_05.jpg

Place hot glue around the outer edge of the top of the sock then roll it down on top of itself until it falls beneath the second groove at the mouth of the Mason Jar.

It should look something like this once you’re finished.

LADIES SOCKs

Ladies socks work great for small Mason Jars. Lay your Mason Jar on the sock and use your scissors to cut 1 1/2 inches above the mouth of the Mason Jar. Then refer to the previously mentioned “Steps 4 & 5” to finish your koozie.
