A spooktacular time was had by all against a fireplace backdrop of magical apothecary containers and candles. I found many of the apothecary containers at Target and Dollar Tree, which I decorated with printable apothecary labels from Pixels And Pop, which you can purchase here.

The Food

When it comes to tea parties, a variety of delicious finger foods is a must! For the main course, I served four different types of tea sandwiches: egg salad, cucumber, chicken salad, and strawberry. I purchased pre-made salad mixes for the egg salad and chicken salad sandwiches from Trader Joe’s, and made the cucumber and strawberry sandwiches from scratch. Check out the recipes here!

Sweet treats were displayed on a two-tiered wooden stand, which I lined with lace-edge cloth napkins. I included an assortment of sweets that paired well with tea, such as coconut macaroons, maple leaf cookies, vanilla bean scones, and French macarons, some of which I served peeking out of more spellbook boxes.

Ghost-berry jam was served in a small plastic cauldron as an optional addition to the scones. I used an edible marker to decorate the French macarons as well as used frosting as glue to add candy eyes to the scones for another spooky touch.

The Table

Elegant purple geode menu cards listed the delicious treat and sandwich selections, and they were placed at each seat along with gold cloth napkins, white Moroccan plates, and natural palm leaf chargers on top of a black mesh tablecloth. A white teapot of hot water sat upon a decorative wooden charger in the middle of the table next to a spell book box containing an array of black, green, and herbal teas for guests to enjoy. A cauldron vase filled with dried florals, some of which I spray-painted, made for an enchanting centerpiece.

Party Favors

A spooktacular time was had by all against a fireplace backdrop of magical apothecary containers and candles. Each guest took some hocus pocus home with them in the form of a string of decorative witchy beads gifted in a cauldron.
